Research Achievements and Representative Works

Research fields: Modeling and computation of high-frequency waves and quantum transport, numerical analysis and computation of fractional differential equations, and theory and applications of multi-objective variational and optimization methods. Utilized semi-classical limits and multi-scale modeling to study high-frequency waves and quantum transport, developing multi-scale models and algorithms that capture microscopic effects such as diffraction and quantum tunneling while maintaining computational efficiency comparable to classical models. Fractional differential equations, an emerging field in the past decade, have been widely applied in anomalous diffusion, porous media, and biology. Proposed new perspectives on the maximum principle and boundary condition handling for fractional differential equations and designed fast and effective numerical algorithms.
