Overview of TCM

Established in March 2024, the Teaching Center of Mathematics(TCM), Tsinghua University, is a teaching entity responsible for organizing and implementing undergraduate public foundational mathematics courses (non-mathematics majors, non-specialized advanced courses). It aims to enhance the quality of foundational mathematics education through optimized curricula, innovative teaching modes and strengthened faculty development.

The Center Director oversees the planning and coordination of the center’s affairs, currently with 20 full-time faculty members and 2 administrative staff.

Development Goals

The Teaching Center of Mathematics, Tsinghua University, focuses on the critical task of talent cultivation, actively implementing Tsinghua’s “three-pronged” educational philosophy of value shaping, ability cultivation, and knowledge transmission. TCM emphasizes key areas such as curriculum development, teaching research, quality assurance, and textbook and teaching resource development, striving to become a leading institution in foundational mathematics education in China with international recognition.
